From rare diamonds to turquoise and coral, his boutique store in Sydney’s Paddington is a gem of its own. LANE chats to Pierre about what jewellery to wear for your wedding day, and some of his favourite in store pieces…

Do you have any advice for brides when it comes to choosing their wedding jewellery? Never match too much. Matched sets looked bought as a look- unless you wear family heirlooms or are attending a ball. Find pieces that will go with your dress & engagement ring that you feel comfortable with and can wear later on. You will have great memories with these pieces. Your jeweller will help you choose the right jewellery for the big day...

What are some of your favourite pieces you have in store and why? It’s all about the design – it can be fine jewellery or a designer piece. A favourite right now is KARA ROSS from New York, a fine jeweller that also makes outstanding costume jewellery. KARA ROSS herself is coming to the Paddington store for a trunk show. Tell us briefly about the range of jewellery you stock, what materials and stones do you have available? There is a fusion of fine jewellery and high-end costume jewellery. We stock a large range of stones, from the rarest of them all - the PINK ARGYLE diamond to diamonds in all shapes and colours – also a wide selection of precious stones

When you’re not in your beautiful boutique store in Paddington, where would we find you? Most likely at Potts Point when I’m in Sydney, or hanging out with friends or combing through antique markets, or painting…never at the gym!

What do you think are some ‘must have’ pieces this year? Anything that makes a statement about you! YSL said, “you only need 8 pieces of clothing, never enough jewellery, we are all born as originals –why dress as a copy”
