WHERE:The Loire Valley, France

DRESS: Custom-made satin gown with silver sash and a veil, both by Vera Wang.

STATIONERY/INVITATIONS: Letterpress invitations. Hand made, hand torn 100% cotton paper, taupe ink, and a beautiful dried lavender sprig detailing.  Custom made by Tiny Pine Press

FLOWERS: A French country “farm to table” look with a variety of potted herbs, soft, open cream garden roses, potted lavender, and pillar candles wrapped in olive branches. By Guillon Fleurs

CEREMONY DETAILS:The ceremony took place in the stunning garden of the 15^th century Chateau de Noirieux and was a simple set up of white wood French garden chairs and a series of gorgeous oversized pots of lavender to mark the center aisle.

RECEPTION DETAILS: A custom wood loggia was created as the canopy for the dinner reception. The wood was treated to look as rustic and aged as possible. Over three dozen olive trees were brought in to treat the loggia area, as well as dozens of oversized pots of lavender.  French farm tables were arranged in a horseshow shape in the loggia to create feasting tables. Soft natural linens, Vietri china and fresh herbs completed the country-chic tableau.

CAKE:The traditional French strawberries and cream dessert “Fraisier” was served instead of a traditional wedding cake.

ENTERTAINMENT:Traditional string quartet for the ceremony, a local French folk trio for cocktails, and a Parisian DJ for the dinner reception.

FOOD & DRINKS: A seven course menu was carefully selected along with wine pairings from the region.

LITTLE EXTRAS:

-- Cointreau (made in Angers where the reception was held) -- was included in all welcome baskets

-- Jeri and Christophe Served French Onion Soup at the end of the event (around 3:00 am) – which is a local tradition
