WHERE: Ceremony - St Pius Catholic Church, Manning. Reception - Boatshed Restaurant, South Perth. Western Australia

DRESS: Made by Luci Di Bella. I loved how the lace came up at the back over the material. The small sections of tulle at the bottom made the dress a bit of 'fun' and was then finished off with the gorgeous hand made sash around the waist.

(continued under gallery)

BRIDESMAIDS: Five gorgeous bridesmaids. We didn't want them all wearing the same dress so we chose a designer who had similar style dresses in similar colour shades.

GROOMSMEN: Again, five. We kept it nice and simple for the boys. Dark grey suits, white shirts and skinny black ties. The Groom liked the Groomsmen outfits so much that he wanted to wear the same. He chose to have a different button hole as a point of difference.

HAIR: A nice simple up do.

MAKEUP: All very natural looking.

RINGS: Designed by us with the help of our wonderful jeweller Gary Thyregod, Sydney.

STATIONERY/INVITATIONS: All designed by our very good friend Dan O'Brien. He designed everything from our Engagement and Wedding invitations to the menus, seating charts and church booklets. We wanted to use a similar colour scheme to what the bridesmaids were wearing and to keep the design as very simple. The design that Dan came up with was amazing, we were very happy.

FLOWERS: Again, we wanted to keep the flowers very simple. We were very keen to use Hydrangeas for the bouquets, table settings and the church arrangements, however because of the Perth heat we were advised that they were not a great choice for bouquets. Instead we chose to use dusty shades of roses for both the bouquets and button holes. Fortunately we were able to find a supplier in Perth who was able to get Hydrangeas in from Melbourne. We then used these for our church and table arrangements. Greg's Mum and Aunty's very kindly put together these arrangements for us. They looked gorgeous.

PHOTOGRAPHY: What can we say, the photos speak for themselves. They are just incredible and we could not be happier! Marissa is a high school friend of Greg's who we asked to fly over from Sydney to take our Wedding shots. We are so very lucky that she said yes!

Marissa had sourced some venue ideas for our photos prior to the wedding day. First stop was the cute blue boathouse on the Swan River, followed by a car park on the side of a road which had the most beautiful, old trees and amazing light. The last stop for shots was out the front of our Reception venue with the city of Perth providing a stunning backdrop.

CEREMONY DETAILS: 3pm at St Pius Catholic Church in Manning. Father Jim, Sasha's Priest from when she was a child, conducted the Ceremony.

RECEPTION DETAILS:  We held the reception at the Boatshed Restaurant, Coode Street Jetty, South Perth. From the moment we walked into the venue for a site visit we knew that it was where we wanted to hold our reception. We had many guests flying in from both Interstate and Overseas and given that The Boatshed is positioned right on the water with magnificent views of the City, it was the perfect location for us. Claire from the Boatshed was extremely helpful with all aspects of the wedding, the food was incredible and the venue itself was just stunning.

CAKE: The Chef at The Boatshed made our Wedding Cake. We wanted to use the cupcakes as Bonboneries so Claire arranged for little boxes to be made with 'thank you' stickers on them.

ENTERTAINMENT: We were very lucky to have Greg's sister, Tara, sing for us during the Ceremony. I walked down the aisle to Tara singing 'Calico Skies' which made it even more special.

During canapés and dinner at the Reception, Tara's friends Grant and Jasmine, performed two sets of amazing Jazz songs to set the scene for the fantastic evening to follow. This was followed by a DJ who played music that we had picked ourselves which resulted in hours of dancing by all!

FOOD & DRINKS: The benefit of having your wedding at a Restaurant is that you expect to have very nice food and The Boatshed did not disappoint. Guests had a choice of four mains, all of which were delicious.

BEST ADVICE FOR PLANNING A WEDDING/TO BRIDES: Enjoy every moment of both the planning and your big day. It is all over very quickly
