WHERE: Haiku Mill - Maui Hawaii

THEME:  Bohemian, minimalistic charm and rustic

GUESTS:  15 guests flew in from Australia, L.A and Miami

DRESS:  Empire waist, strapless Vera Wang with silk flower

(continued under gallery)

BRIDESMAIDS:  Lana Cannatello – Flower Girl

HAIR:  Worn down soft and wavy, to go with both the dress and the wedding site.

MAKEUP:  Simple make up for a natural, flawless look

RINGS:  Platinum diamond band

STATIONERY/INVITATIONS:  Designed to look handmade with handcut heart shaped confetti

FLOWERS:  Different shades and textures of white – ranunculus, orchids and roses but the bouquet was bright contrast using shades of pinks and lavender.

CEREMONY DETAILS:  Rose petals down aisle, ceremony performed under 300 year old antique chandelier, antique bird cages, we kept it simple due to the beauty of the old ruins of the sugar mill.

RECEPTION DETAILS:  Burlap tablecloths with a lace table runner and silk napkins with lavender and straw twine around the napkins. Guests played bacci ball during the cocktail hour and then everyone was seated at the one long table where the food was all family style sharing plates. Flowers were placed in vases, white porcelain pitchers and lace wrapped hurricane vases and mason jars… candles placed throughout the sugar mill

CAKE:  Coconut infused mini Cupcakes with butter frosting and toasted coconut and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter cream frosting and chocolate ganache drizzle

ENTERTAINMENT:  Violinist and classical guitar then ipod for dancing

FOOD & DRINKS:  Lychee martinis with a garnish of lavender, Moscow mules with mint and ginger.   Adrian being Italian we wanted to have a casual, shared family styled food – truffle white cheddar mac and cheese, assorted rustic breads with olive oil and balsamic, herb roasted tenderloin, assorted grilled vegetables, salad of edamame, shaved maui onions, field greens and heirloom tomatos, macadamia nut crusted fresh fish with lilikoi beurre blanc,

LITTLE EXTRAS:  Gourmet coffee bar and ice cream sundae bar to accompany the mini cupcakes where each person could design their own ice cream sundae

BEST ADVICE FOR PLANNING A WEDDING/TO BRIDES:  Not to stress the small things, to take your time and enjoy every moment of the day because you blink and the day goes like that ….so quickly.  To stop and breathe before stressing out…. To not worry about what others will want from your wedding, but what both you and the one you are marrying are going to want.. and the best thing to remember is WATERPROOF MASCARA!!!!
